The World Series of Poker is a yearly tournament including a series of events which are united as part of one huge Las Vegas-based tournament. Founded by casino tycoon Benny Binion, the World Series of Poker tournament began in the 1970s and focuses on 58 separate events with Texas Hold 'em being very popular with gamers. Possibly the biggest lucrative gambling championship in the world, the poker series rewards the winner with an impressive cash prize and a much sought after bracelet. Stu Ungar and Johnny Moss are the only two players to have won the title three times in the World Series of Poker, whilst Ungar, Moss, Johnny Chan and Doyle Bronson have achieved victories in consecutive years. The player who has been most successful in the World Series of Poker events is Wisconsin's Phil Hellmuth, who has won 11 bracelets at the World Series of Poker. In 2010 Jonathan Duhamel won the World Series of Poker, the one time a Canadian has emerged victorious.
